I couldn't find a mushroom forum. I hope someone can direct me to it if it exist. How many of you love and grow your own mushroom? I love mushrooms and they are a little pricey in the store. I have grown mushroom kits in the house, but never outdoors. I stared a morel bed at the end of last year. I hope I get some morels from this bed. I wish I was physically able to go mushroom hunting. I plan on plugging some logs.

Thanks! I guess I should let the Dave's people know. They did not know there was a mushroom section and said they would make one if there were enough response. That is a big mixture of things in one section.
I agree. At the least, ferns should be separated out.
Chanterelles grow wild and abundently on our property. There is usually a period in spring/early summer where we can pick several paper grocery bags full and an even bigger crop in fall. We have lots of hardwood on the property and many mushrooms but I'd want lessons from an experienced mycologist before picking anything else.

How did you start your morel bed? I am looking forward to going mushroom hunting in early spring. I have MD and cannot hike anymore but some friends have found a patch that I can get to so they are going to take me. I am so excited. Here they call mushroom hunting Molly Mooching. Lots of people do it. They also hunt ginseng and a few other things like blood root, speckled britches and tangle gut.
