ID please

Kure Beach, NC(Zone 9a)

I received this recently and would love to have it ID'd. I know it might not be possible until it blooms, but even a general idea of what it is would be good.
I have no idea of it's full size. I'm assuming these are small pups.
Thanks!

I can't even be sure its a bromeliad. Even when it blooms you might not know what it is. There are literally hundreds if not thousands of bromeliad hybrids.

Growth and flowering will tell you more.

It kind of looks like a Tillandsia. But I can't be sure from that phpto.

It has tiny spines along the leaves, similar to a Billbergia.
Will a picture from farther away help?

It could be a few differ things. It could be a Ananas or a Bigeneric that is a Ananas crossed with some think else. Or who know that from your photo. Let it grow out some and try again to see if it van be ID'ed.

Well, as stated above it's a little early to tell. Could be an Orthophytum or maybe Cryptbergia Red Burst (bi generic hybrid).
