I agree with aHelena, Jackie, you had some outstanding blooms this year, and really enjoyed looing at them too. The blooms you posted from year before are awsome, what is the dark blue one?

Helena, the 4th one above is really different. But, so is the second one. Gee ,can't make up my mind.. love them all.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Helena and Debra.
Debra, my dark blue bloom is BMN not.
This yr the BMN sd I planted only made white blooms, very disappointing.
I love Helenas 4th bloom above too. Is that Watercolor?

Gautier, MS

Jackie, that is weird that your BMN made white blooms. But I guess that makes the genes unstable. I'm going to grow an old seed from BMN that I have marked as blue silk.

That 4th bloom is more like a cross of Star of India. The 5th bloom is Watercolor.

Those are beauties Helena, Love the middle bloom.especially

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

ohhh so do I!
I think it is weird how some of the blooms always have a slight difference or a major noticable difference from bloom to bloom. It makes me want to try weird things. I was able to view this bloom first thing this am..

Thanks ladies. Yep I missed the first 2 blooms from that vine cause I don't like going out in the mornings when it's cold.

Pretty blooms Linda. Glad you still are getting them.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

awwww you lucky gals! welp, we had our snow today, was a knuckle gripping ride home from work tonight, but I made it all the way into a nice cleared off driveway and an empty garage thanks to Joe.
can't say I have a lot of room in the basement right now between the plants, the bikes, the Christmas tubs all emptied out and well you know.. LOL
I missed a couple blooms down there, maybe I can catch one this weekend..

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Beautiful blooms ladies. Repeated or not, they are welcome.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Debra, what is your last picture?

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Linda that is a native kansas flower in the agastesea or however you call it family. it is prennieal and gets very tall. it is called giant yellow hyssop and the bees , butterflys and hummers love it, it makes a statement as it grows it looks like a candelabra and I have seeds.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

:)

From 2011, Note the big spider in my fig tree? Don't have a clue what kind he is.
I should have asked can you spot him laying flat on the center stem?
