Why are the leaves on my outdoor patio turning white? I'm in Northern Florida
HELP!
Were the plants indoors and then set out into sunlight? If so, the leaves have been sunburnt. Plants need to be accustomed to sunlight by gradual exposure - this is called " hardening off".
The first picture certainly could be "sunburn" and the second one with brown tips usually indicates a reaction to lack of water.

well, lack of water, or salts in the soil, or flouride/ chlorine, I think is also blamed
Add crowded roots, and no splashing water on leaves, easy on the fertilizer too
The first photo is sunburn. The second is salts, not a watering issue. Take the plant outdors on a warm day and flush the soil with lots of rainwater. Be sparing with fertilzer on dracaenas. They hate it. They grow in loose, sandy soils that are continually flushed. While toletating low light and inconsistent watering they will not tolerate fertilizer or other salt build up.
