As a rule of thumb fertilizing Perennial bulbs and flowers, are you supposed to fertilize only up until they start flowering, especially if you want seed pods to develop?
For example, once I fertilized a daffodil after it flowered and it had green leaves for almost 3 months after ! However next year it failed to bloom, I guess to much energy put into growing leaves previous year ?
Fertilizing Perennials?
