I came across a bottle of rooting compound that I bought a few years back. I'm thinking of using it to root pepper cuttings. I know tomatoes are very easy to root from cuttings, but for some reason or another I've never attempted it with peppers. Has anyone had any success doing this and is there any particular procedure that works best?
Rooting Pepper Plant Cuttings
When trying to root peppers I would try the same method you use for any perennial plant, with the rooting compound. Tomatoes are a true vine and any part of the stem that touches the ground will grow roots that's why they are planted deep. Peppers just aren't like that. You could try bending a branch of the pepper plant and putting a rock on it, keeping the soil moist and see if it grows roots but I don't know.
