I have schefflera plant about 4 feet I have it on top of a cubbie and it is now touching the ceiling. I want to cut the top off is it okay to prune it in anytime of the year. How do I plant the piece it cut off.
Thanks
schefflera plant
You can prune it practically anytime, but this is the best time because it will regrow stems from those cut branches. Take your cuttings and shorten them to approximately 6-8". Strip off the bottom 3" of stems/leaves and stick that end 3" deep into a 4" pot filled with moist milled sphagnum moss or peat moss. Keep in the shade and keep that moss moist. You should have rooted cuttings in 4-6 weeks.
