I have a 90-year-old rose bush that is on lattice covering the whole front and side of my porch. This thing is huge. Right up the center of it, a mulberry has decided to grow. The rose bush is not doing so well now. How can I kill the mulberry (and roots) without killing the rose? My husband's great-grandmother planted the rose when my husband's grandfather was an infant, so it would be heartbreaking to lose the rose too. But if I don't do something, the mulberry is going to kill it. Any advice would be so greatly appreciated!!
