Sweet Yellow Heirloom Identification

Little Falls, NJ(Zone 6a)

I was in Fairway supermarket , looking for some tomatoes to go with my fresh mozzerella, and they had some heirlooms (from Mexico). I am so impatient for my heirlooms that I paid a small fortune for a couple of tomatoes. I picked out a couple of a black variety and a yellow. I have to say that that yellow tomato was one of the sweetest, finest tasting I have had in quite a while. It was like candy, or like a tomato filled with sugar syrup....ok thats going a little far.

Well, I was so impressed that from the balsamic and oil splattered tomato on my plate, I saved some seeds. I figured they would not do anything but was worth a try, and, I have germination.

Not big enough to describe anything about the actual plant yet, the fruit was yellow, medium sized, round and very, very sweet, like nothing I've tasted before.

Any ideas on the variety?

OMG. Tatiana's has over 600 varieties oy yellow/orange.

I'm thinking Golden Queen....wouldn't be anything too rare if it's making it's way to a supermarket.

I am growing something just like you describing: GOLDEN JUBILEE

On this picture the tomatoes look orange, but they are actually a deep yellow.
They are really sweet and always in my variety I grow every year.
Good luck !
