I just received five beautiful viburnums from from Gary Ladman of Classic viburnums. I will never buy a viburnum from anyone else again. I have had these plants in my garden, at two to three times the cost. Great communication, great product, great shipping, great pricing.
Viburnums from Classic Viburnums
What are they?
Left to right:
Viburnum dentatum 'Synestvendt' Chicago Lustre, a five gallon. I had this before and loved it.
2 Viburnum trilobum 'Spring Green Compact' , two gallons each. I had this as well
Viburnum prunifolium "MckRouge' Forest Rouge, a two gallon. I had the species. Gary suggested this cultivar, which has purple fall color.
Viburnum sargenti "Chiquita', a two gallon compact form similar to 'opulus'. Opulus has lost its popularity and Gary had sold the three he had, so he suggested this.
Here is another view (please ignore my burned taxus - haven't pruned it all yet).
He said that no one orders the dentatum. It was chosen for me at my previous home and I adored it. It's a statuesque plant that makes a great screen/specimen/backdrop. 2nd through 4th pics.
