I had this as well Viburnum prunifolium "MckRouge' Forest Rouge, a two gallon. I had the species. Gary suggested this cultivar, which has purple fall color. Viburnum sargenti "Chiquita', a two gallon compact form similar to 'opulus'. Opulus has lost its popularity and Gary had sold the three he had, so he suggested this. Here is another view (please ignore my burned taxus - haven't pruned it all yet). He said that no one orders the dentatum. It was chosen for me at my previous home and I adored it. It's a statuesque plant that makes a great screen/specimen/backdrop. 2nd through 4th pics. |
