I'd love to know the specific species of African Erythrina tree that was the famous "flame tree" mentioned in author Elspeth Huxley's 1959 book, "The Flame Trees of Thika" (filmed in Kenya as a 1981 television mini series)? I'd like to plant the tree at my vacation home in S.W. Florida. Even a similar species that looks similar and works for Florida would be super. Thanks for your comments.
