Hello!
I wondered if someone could tell me if Amaranthus will handle being potted? I read that it likes full sun and dry-ish soil but can't find any further info about potting. I though it would look incredible trailing out of hanging baskets or tall classical urns.
If you have potted it with success, what did you plant with it? I was considering something chartreuse like a sweet potato vine and maybe some deep purple pansies. :)
Planting Question for Amaranthus or Love-Lies-Bleeding
Yes, it can be grown in containers including hanging baskets or urns so long as it has good drainage. My favorite color combo is purple and chartreuse so I often use the sweet potato vine. Looks smashing (IMHO).
Here's a short thread on that subject: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/840156/#post_4872047
Thanks for the reply! I'm going to give it a shot!
