I've seen these where the muscadines are huge, size of quarters. I want to buy a plant to grow and maybe two if there needs to be a pollinator, I'm in zone 7 live in Arkansas. does anybody know of any?
Looking for a jumbo muscadine
There is one at my parents house, they are both deceased now. I tried taking cuttings off of it but they did not root. These are the huge dark purple ones, they also have a bronze one, but they are much smaller. Don't know the names of them, we just called them the big purple and little bronze.
Last year they made so many grapes it was unbelievable, I picked gals. of them, and barely make a dent in them. I am probably going over and prune the vines tomorrow if it doesn't rain.
"Plant Scout" on this website lists named variety Muscadines at two nurseries, Stark Bros and Greenwood. The descriptions on Greenwood nursery sounded good to me but I am no muscadine expert - they don't grow in Colorado.
