Dietes bicolor-wilted and brown

Caldwell, TX

I've loved the texture and appearance of my Peacock Irises (Dietes Bicolor) in my Texas flowerbeds, but this winter after some freezing temps the leaves have turned brown and are wilted looking. Should I cut them back? Will they grow back green? Is it the freezing temps that have caused this or another issue.

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

It's most likely the freezing temperatures that have caused the issue. If there is a chance of another freeze, wait to cut them back until the cold weather and all chance of freeing temps/frost has past. Mulching them may help as well.
