"Think Spring" seed swap HAVE & WANT LISTS

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

*****
Swap CANCELLED due to stupid groundhog and his stupid shadow
We will reschedule, probably for Saturday March 1. Details will follow on a new swap threads.
*****

Although it's not necessary for participation, some folks find it helpful to list the seeds they have available for the swap as well as what they're looking for.

Please post only ONCE on this thread, and then edit your post as needed.

It's harder to find the HAVE/WANT lists if there are lots of other posts on this thread, so please post seed requests, questions, and other discussion on the seed swap DISCUSSION thread, here: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1347157/

Info & sign up thread is here: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1347154/

Happy Seed Sorting!

HAVE:

lots of "miscellaneous" seeds, so I'll be paying attention to "WANT" lists. or just tell me if your garden is sun/shade, wet/dry, and what you're looking for ("love pink, no orange please, really looking for butterfly host/nectar plants")

Ironweed -- the tall native variety with purple blooms, a must for the back of your butterfly garden

garlic chives! -- once you've got them, you've got them, especially if you don't deadhead! Great flavor and late season blooms for the butterflies, too.

"Hot & Spicy" basil -- not commercially available, this is a fantastic peppery thai-type basil with white flowers. I first grew it from a few seeds Chantell got in a trade, and it's one I just have to grow every year.

Purple Pole Beans, 'Trionfo Violetta', from Seeds of Italy. 5 seeds in a pack, ask if you want a few more. Pretty lavender flowers and dark purple beans that turn green when you cook them.

Gita, why don't you just paste your wants as a separate post? You could put one line saying something like "see above for haves", then just list your wants.

Just occurred to me- my library is having a Master Gardener talk about container gardening on March 15. If there are seeds truly begging for a home, I can take some as giveaways to the hundreds who flock to this. (actually if thirty people attend we'll call it a huge success)

oops!
