As fall beckons us, it's time for a new thread and new dinner ideas.
Last night, I relied on my guys to put something on the table, and they did. They not only fixed dinner, they cleaned up afterwards, AND I had dining companions. Counting my blessings.
I'm definitely ready for cooler temps and warm dinners. Lodge replaced my enamel Dutch oven after the bottom cratered, so I'm set for all sorts and manners of soups, stews, roasts and braised foods.
I'm also intrigued by the elusive texture and crumb of a good "tavern pizza" crust and I'm casting about for recipes and techniques that yield the right balance of tenderness and crunch that I'm seeking.
So, what's for dinner at your place?
