Looking for a shorter mid-season yellow

Albany, ME(Zone 4b)

I love the yellow of Early Yellow and Yelloween. The second comes in right after the first is finished. But I'm afraid that established Yelloween will be too tall. One of them grew to almost 5 feet this year. Does anyone know of other lilies of this color? I do have one other, which starts a little later than Early Yellow. I've labeled it "Walmart Yellow." :-) That's where I got it. Don't know if it has a real name beyond "yellow lily."

You need to look for either asiatics or dwarf orientals.

I planted Yelloween and thought it was extemely average. Since I got it at Sam's, it may very well be a Walmart very average plant. A few years ago I planted Fata Morgana (the first photo), a first cousin to the pink Elodie, which also has multiple petals.

The second is a pixie lily. Offhand, I cannot recall the name of the third lily, but I will find it. The fourth is a trumpet with a yellow throat that is truly outstanding.

There are many lovely yellow or white with yellow lilies.

How tall do your Fata Morgana lilies get?

30 to 36 inches high as I recall.
