September 7 Heronswood is having an open house! You can tour the gardens, and in the afternoon there will be lectures. Tribal art, music and food venders. Unlike the good old days, they are not selling their own plants, but apparently there will be venders from various local nurseries there. Heronswood has been bought by the Port Gamble S'klallam Tribe, and Dan Hinkley is helping them. Sounds very interesting.

Heronswood Open Garden and Sale Sept 7.
Best wishes to Dan and the Port Gamble S'kallam Tribe. Heronswood was once a great name with fantastic plants. I'm happy to have some thanks to Pixydish, back in 2005.
Ah, I miss Melissa (pixydish) - I think she took to the high seas a year or so ago.
I miss her, too. She was such a nice person and so helpful. She loved Heronswood and was crushed when they closed.
