We put down our 14 years old Greyhound a few months ago. We have since then adopted our new girl Maggie May (Magpie). We have had her for 3 months. Yes she is very spoiled.

It is Thursday, and in our house it treat day. Even our pets know what today is .Have fun today, and treat yourself today. I hope everyone has a great day.

I always hurt to say good bye. I was blessed to have her in my life. I can't imagine not having her, and my other babies in my life. My life would not be complete.

Life isn't worth living if you can't share it with someone or something.

Pattie, late last summer we had to put down out 15 year old Siberian Husky, and it was so hard to do. We both swore we would not have another dog, as it hurt so bad to let them go! Well, that lasted about 5 months, at Christmas last year we got a 1 & 1/2 year old German shepherd, and she has filled that void!
This is Luna! Every afternoon when Todd comes home for lunch, this is how he is greeted!

Love going to the beach. What do you do with the shells and drift wood?
Todd and I went to the beach at Corpus Christie this summer. Padre Island. Love putting my feet in the sand!

I need to go find some drift wood for a few art projects I have in mind....

in Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I saw a large, beautiful mirror in driftwood ,and another in shells. I can't afford to pay the prices they want,so I decided to collect shells and drift wood .It will take a few months to make it,but that is okay. If I save money I am happy.

I would love to go to Corpus Christie Padre Island. I have never been there yet. I hear it really nice.

You have a pretty kitty there Goober. Pretty jewerly too.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Haides is pretty and I love your jewelry.

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7b)

Gosh darn it goober. Have to get this crazy package to you in the mail, but you seriously WON'T BELIEVE my crazy life if I told you. Oh wait, yes you would, you've seen it. :D

Number one excuse for not getting your package in the mail ... heavy rains for a week ... and the seam on my canvas top VW convertible has pulled apart (apparently a common malady for this make and model as it ages). Until I figure out my best option to fix it, a tarp and bungee cords act as a giant band aid.

And today . . . the week's latest emergency (and you know it's like this every day here) I got a knock on the door after the last thunder storm passed.

A neighbor Lady came to get me because a squirrel nest had fallen in the park across the street and there were three babies needing my help. I did my best, I promise you, but I couldn't help them much. Court came home and drove them across town to a wildlife rehabber whose expertise is squirrel rescue. Precious babies. A bit of short hair on their little heads and tails, but sort of gray and hairless otherwise.

Sigh.

Wonder what fun today holds in store?

I do love your kitty, Haides. Is s/he named after the ancient Greek god, Hades, Lord of the underworld? Is s/he a little devil? :)

Your birthday bling is very pretty too. Is that a necklace and bracelet too?

About Lanakila. I also note her absence. Froot is MIA as well and has some people asking for her on another thread.

Have a great day everybody...
