Hi, all.
Goober and Elfie, that concert and fireworks sound wonderful! Very cool that you had VIP tickets! So glad you both got to go :)
My retired guide dog is visiting till mid-August. She is 14 now. For 14, she's doing quite well. Doesn't play much, but my working guide seems to understand. He does still try to encourage her to play now and then, just in case :) And, of course, he wants to be sure she stays young!
Caught some bug last week. So close to being better, but still have a bit of a cough. And energy is still low. Really hoping to be rid of this soon!
I have Goober's card. Will get it in the mail by Saturday. Elfie, will Goober be home or with you next week?

Good morning everyone,
Sorry to hear your not feeling well Michelle . I hope you get better soon. There is a lot of upper respiratory ,and also stomach viruses going around . We have seen both quite a bit at our office.

I just lost my 14 years Greyhound , a few months back . She was rescue Greyhound .She was beautiful. I really enjoyed watching her run in the yard , and play with other dogs. She had that spirit up until the end. She told me when she was ready to go to the rainbow bridge. I love animals. I can't image my life without them. Give your retire guide dog a hug for me Michelle.
Enjoy every minute with her.

Well off to work . I hope everyone has a great day. Take care.

p.s. putting something together for a special birthday girl.

Goober and I got up at 5 am. We went to the auction and picked up my pantry room shelves. Then hit two of Alabamas largest thrift shops. We scored a bunch of brand new looking and smelling sheets, a purple feather blanket for Goober, and a beautiful teal collored bedset for me. It is awesome looking. I will try to get pictures after I rewash everything.

The comforters were only $4.98 each!! Sheets $0.99each.

Goober also got a huge pastel striped terryclothe robe. She had a wonderful time and I did too.

Hi, all.
LK, the list of hosts is at the top, right after the birthday list. Look for where it says "2013 Birthday Club Hosts" :)
Wonder if Twyla ever got her computer issues sorted out.
Hmmm, wish I knew how long it would take my card to get to Goober. Then I'd know if it could really get to Kris's in time while Goober is visiting her. Probably safer to send it to Goober's home address in case it takes more time to get there... Of course, you know what that means, don't you? It will probably get there before Goober! :) Well, if it does, then she will have a fun surprise waiting for her :)
Kris and Goober, sounds like you two found some neat things on your shopping trip :)
Goober, I like purple, too.
Kris, speaking of teal, I saw some teal yarn the other day when I was yarn shopping. Thought of you :)
Well, off to get more things done while the dogs are napping! Will give them both hugs from you all :)

OK tater explain. My mind is not all there today . It was a hard long day at work. Did I forget something beside my mind ? LOL

Please send all cards to Goobers house. She will be home on Tuesday. I will request that her mom gets her on DG next week to cjat with you all. If she ever wakes up after her marathon shopping trip... Which she only spent a total of $21.00!!!!! I will get her on tonight.

My husband and I went to a few garage sales and one estate sale. I found some sea shells and barnacles for a craft project I am doing . I also found a old John deer tiller wheel for garden art .The Estate sale had nothing I needed or wanted. Afterwards we went to lunch. It was a great day to spend time together. Don't mind the shaky picture. lol

Looks like you had fun. Love that wheel.

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7b)

Thanks for the daily info, Patti. My BF went to an estate sale up the street about 6 houses where the elderly gentleman had lived alone till the end. He said it reminded him of his grandfather's garage which they have just finished cleaning out. I didn't go, it would probably remind me of my own mother's house, which I have yet to clean out and finish, almost 5 years after she passed.

Ack! I have enough stuff don't I?

Kris, please tell Goober that I have put together a little package and will ship it to her in Phoenix tomorrow afternoon. :)

I'll also give a call if i can this evening, maybe tomorrow too before she goes home.

My favorite brother's (shhhhh!) Is on the 6th. I sent his package last Thursday priority and the tracking info still shows it in Greensboro though the expected delivery date was yesterday. -sigh- I am so rarely on the mark with these things, even when I try . ...

Must try a little harder!!! Hear that, Snoopy?! Hear that, pocketbook?!?!?!?!!!
