I have a very healthy purple star petunia; over the past six weeks or so, the plant has continues to grow and flower profusely, but its overall appearance has become much paler, as the newer blossoms have larger and larger areas of white and smaller areas of purple.......any ideas as to what causes this? I saw some abstracts online about color expression in petunias, but was hoping for a simpler and more direct explanation, if anyone has one. Thanks.
