A few blooms from my garden.Two of the Trop Hibscus, a couple of lilies, Rose.

The coleus I planted are starting to look good, too. There are a couple of planters as well.

Some new things in my garden as well---

--First Frans Hals to open up
--Red Lilies are starting to bloom as well
--This Lily is called "Trumpet Lily Pink Perfection". Someone gave it to me at last years Swap. Who??
It has a VERY tall stem!
--Heliopsis daisy and friend...
--Nancy's Lily--she gave me seeds she had hybridized at the Seed swap in 2009 (?)
it was when Joyanna was there as a baby. The other seeded one has yet to bloom. Year #4.

--Trunpet Lilies "Regale" still going strong
--My Endless Summer Hydrangea
--A beautiful Monarda--someone gave me this one too....
--Red Epi--"Ackermanii"
--Went back toThe "Greenhouse" to pick up a few more RED Phlox. SO pretty...
They are very leggy and only in 4" pots....REALLY root-bound....
Must have faith for next year.......

I 'should' have ruffled apricot out there somewhere.
Does your yarrow stay thick and stand up? Mine is floppy seems I can' t make it happy, always ends up looking thin and scraggly.

It's kinda short so that one stands upright

My TALL DL "Pink Perfection" got blown over last night--and the stem is broken.
I staked it up with a real tall stake--it is SO pretty--I want to look at it a bit longer.....

Gita they're huge!!! And I can see the massive amounts of pollen they produce.

Think I'll get rid of all the shaded white yarrow and put my new ones in the sunny bed.

I can't remember who gave these to me--but i remember that someone did--
and said i would love it.

I LOVE it! Now--can someone fess up? It was not anyone from our gang here...

The stem is about 4' tall--if not more... Maybe Jill will come up with a name....

The daturas I kept were not the biggest i had. The best ones went to people at the swap.

I am struggling finding spaces for my 2 daturas. Just today, again, I moved the yellow one,
which was in a bed by the ferns--so I could plant the red Phlox I bought in that spot.
This spot seemed to be the only perfect place for them. The yellow Datura got put in a lg. pot
and it is now sitting in the open.
My Purple datura, I kept, Got put in the spot where I planted (and then pulled up) the Purple
Loosestife.

My plants sure get moved around a lot---as newer ones seem more important
than some i have had around for long time. Oh, well! Such is life....

OK! Have had my long break. Time to go back outside. it is NOT all that bad.
I think the humidity is lower....

Gita, Asclepias can be propagated by root cuttings, but such plants don't overwinter well. I will give it a try and perhaps you might overwinter it in a pot in a protected location (shed?) with some insulation.

Hydrangea from ?? at swap several years ago. I think it was orignially labeled to go to happy- (confession time...) Diana, is this familiar? Its a soft lavendar shade.

large Red DL are my next to bloom after Stella's and Happy returns.

Sally--Ahem......The Acalypha was from Md. Flower and Foliage--NOT HD.

Also--I saw a pot of the "Strawberries and Cream" at HD Wednesday ($12.98)
It was in a deco pot and displayed on one of those big, round display
things on wheels--Where they put all kinds of pretty flowering plants. It was the only one.

I was now wondering if it is a Floral Hydrangea since it was sold among the other
indoor flowering plants????
It is possible (but not guaranteed) that a Floral anything (Mums, Azaleas, Hydrangeas)
might make it outdoors if in a protected spot. Usually--they "may" grow outside--but not too likely to bloom.

Perhaps you got lucky????

I checked Lowes and saw none there.

Got my Strawberries and cream as clearance of a "Floralf" seasonal thing in a pink pot---guess who eventually got the pink pot...
; ^)
. But it's had two winters survive...it started as a couple little sticks of half crispy leaves. It is a sort of western exposure and the most moist part of my yard- the sumps empty on that side.

My Calycanthus Carolina allspice is beconming a horrible thug in the same conditions- suckering like mad. Location location location...

Coleup - I started some Chinese Foxgloves last year and ended up with 5 plants. Planted them out last September but only 2 came back this spring. They, however, seem to be thriving and getting bigger every day and producing secondary sprouts. I really like the plants and look forward to these surviving plants producing a nice stand. They should continue blooming as they grow for several months, a nice prolonged display.

Jen and Sally, I just pulled up most of my yarrow. I can't stand how tall and floppy they get, even with 8 hours of sun. I'm willing to try a shorter variety, though.

haha I pulled some white yarrow tonight too! gonna try with two pastels from critter, in full sun. pulling the yarrow freed up space needed in my prime shady bed aka davids garden for how it's becoming populated with many of greenthumb's contributions.

catbird, the datura is pretty! we haven't had a datura in ages...

my blue perennial geranium rebounded amazingly and has its first bloom today. Its a testimony to right location and the ability for a scrap of green to grow when given the right good luck.

Jill and aspenhill- the Noid campanula from the Master Gardenrs sale is blooming. It for sure is a Campanula despite what the poor harried Master Gardener guessed.

Your Blue Billow is blooming now, hope to see mine bloom soon then....
