We have had an Italian Prune in the ground for three years and still no fruit. There are 2 other plum trees in the yard. One is a Beauty Plum and the other is a grafted 5 variety tree with one Purple Plum (Damson) on it. The Italian blooms every year but the minature fruit turn yellow and fall off. Does this tree need a same variety pollinator? We live in Puyallup WA.
Thanks,
Jim
Italian Plum (Prune) Not fruiting
Sounds like it does need a pollinator of somekind. Check out the Plant ID forum.
