Japanese Maples

Walmart has them for $14 about waist-high.

Do they survive here? Do you keep in pots? It seems kind of hot to plant them now. I've never seen any here. They are gorgeous in Rhode Island where I used to live.

Susie has one growing nicely in her yard. Fishie can fill you in on the story. Mine will be grown in a pot if I get one.

I bought a couple about 6 years ago, gave one to Susie. I neglected mine and it died. Hers is doing amazing. Very light morning sun, water.
I bought one last Fall when I was in Colorado. Going to pay attention to this one. They are not easy here in the desert. It can be done though under the perfect circumstances :)

Here it is mine. Detrick was his wonderful self and brought it to me half an hour ago on his way to celebrate his mom and his aunt. What a great guy !
