Can anyone tell me where I can get a Chocolate Persimmon Persimmon? I saw it in a relative's yard in South Alabama. The tree was maybe 20/25 feet tall and had smallish fruit without seed. Fruit are somewhat egg shaped. Here's a picture, altho I am not sure it adds much to what I said.

WoW! Thank you so much!!!
My Christmas present!!!
I have purchased "chocolate" persimmon at Petals From the Past in Jemison. It's just a couple of hours from you. Some of their persimmon trees are really large! Give them a call:

I have been to Petals at times in the past. It is a GREAT field trip! I'll check them out as I have not ordered yet. Thanks
I take my pickup truck whenever I go! They graft a lot of their persimmons and other fruit trees onto rootstock that is best for this area. I love it there--fortunately for me , it's only 20-30 minutes away from where I live. And run by an Auburn horticulturist! That's a plus.
Their online catalog does not list anything except Fuyu. I sent them an email asking about it.
The catalog may list the plants they ship but there are a lot more at the nursery. I make about 4 trips a year.
