We've had highbush blueberry bushes for close to 40 years. They've produced beautifully, but this year they were sour. How come????
This is in southwestern Maine.

Why were my blueberries sour?
Colorado isn't good blueberry country - but with other fruits here, it is usually sun & heat. Plants need lots of sun to make sugar, but if it is too hot, plants don't store it in the fruit. If your bushes are in the shade when they used to be in the sun, that might cause it. If you had unseasonable warm weather and picked the berries at the end of a heat wave, that might cause it.
