Morning Glories 2012 #12
Oops, my pic is huge. You might want to set your zoom to 75%. LOL
Beautiful blooms Jackie.
I found a bloom that I missed this morning still open not looking too bad. Hope all went well at the doctors Jackie. I'm tired too of doctor appts for my grandkids.
I need a big break from those.
Mgs blooms and a tropical plant for the hummers, I did have a hummer visit my garden today.
lovely blooms.. I like the little blue hiding in the bottom of your pic Jackie..
gorgeous tropical... I am curious as well...
Ronnie beautiful!
Thanks ladies.
Helena, such a pretty color on your 1st bloom. I love your tropical too. Is it an Abutilon?
I had typed this msg before. Don't know where it went.
Ronnie, omg, incredible colors on both those blooms. That 1st one is amazing but I love the 2nd bloom too.
Deb, my 2nd no Sora vine is hiding down below the PPV. :-)
Thanks ladies too. That tropical pink bloom is Malvaviscus penduliflorus, also known as Turks Caps. I think the red ones are better known which I also have.
Ronnie those are beautiful blooms, love the colors, happy to hear it came from my seeds. Probably crossed with one of your other ones, I love mg surprises. Please keep posting and sharing your pictures.
From my blooms today. Kind of hard to take pictures of this dark purple.
lovely no mai...
your species resembles sharp pod morning glory..
Beautiful blooms Jackie. All really special blooms, my favorites are no Mai and Mauve Splash. I think this coming sping I'll grow my blue LYK which is different from yours. I want to find my pink LYK too.
The only nice blooms for me this morning. My Titholia I grew from seed in a large pot grew over 12 ft tall and just started blooming this past week. Way too tall and too late for the hummers but I think the butterfly are using it.
I grew it in 2010, I think it's a very nice blue. Had to go into my old computer to find this picture and took a look at all I grew. I'll have to look for some of the seeds from that year to grow again.
Jackie, I tagged that bloom of the blue star for you and will save you seeds from it.
Love your lav lyk and your pink silk is gorgeous.
gorgeous display girls.. I just spent the afernoon tearing down all the rest of the gardens and vines.. then sprayed for white flys and other insects,,, yuk.
Beautiful color Helena.
I have to heat mine. We had to get a new
heat and air unit last Dec. for the house. That one is so efficient that my gas heater in the g house, set on low, keeps
my g house at 56 or so and my gas bill not too bad. It used to run me 300.00 a month in the winter
to heat
the house and the g house but last winter the highest bill was 179.00. Not bad for a g house 12 x 24 ft long.
Most of that bill was for the house. If your g house is smaller, it wont cost as much as mine to heat.
Note: the sun heats my g house during the day to the point that no heat kicks on unless its cloudy.
Pink silk
Pretty Jap Asago, also looks like Pink silk/Looks more like Pink silk than Pink silk does :-)
Jackie, they are gorgeous blooms. The only difference I see it that maybe the Jap Asago is larger & with more ruffles. The colors seem a lot alike though.
Both very similar and beautiful.
We have electric heat for our home so it would have to be electric for the gh too. Our bill has been kind of high this summer but only probably cause we kept very cool inside. So I don't know about getting one for my gh.
Helena, thank you. Pink Silk is on the left side. I think I was just up closer on that bloom making it look larger.
The Pink Asago on the right is a little larger.
If it doesn't get too cold there, maybe you could use the space heaters in your g house.
love the pinks, Jackie. You guys rock. I think I have a bloom in the basement by the south window, wil go look.
Thanks Debra and Helena.
Lovely Carnival of Venice type bloom Helena.
Very pretty Salvia bloom, unusual color.
The purps have been beautiful the last few weeks, in full bloom
My no Mai blooms all look to have sprung from Plum Purple Velvet pollen. Looking more like PPV
than no Mai to me
Lav LYK with a Kikyo shape
Beautiful blooms Jackie. Sure am enjoying all of them.
Thanks Helena. Love all your new blooms.
I got to see my beautiful purps left on the north fence this am.. end of blooms are outside.. new blooms inside.
None of them as pretty as you guys have..
Debra, I will be happy to save you some of my purp sds.
Beautiful blooms. Love the C. sabaticus
Beautiful Debra,
Taking way too long to download pictures here today.
I was so happy to snap this pic today. First butterfly pic I've had all season long.

Beautiful blooms Jackie. I also have lots those sulpher butterflies. Love all your blooms, my vines are just about done so I enjoy your blooms very much.
Your no Mai has really been a nice one and your Lav. Saz is too.
These are small blooms. The first one is dark lavender star with lighter lavender edge. Second bloom is lav. chiffon.
After doing some computer rebooting and deleting a bunch of stuff my computer is working faster.
