I. nil volunteers

Barbourville, KY(Zone 7a)

Karen recently re-energized my waning interest in Ipomoea and looking at the beautiful photos here completed the restoration.
I planted only one or two I. nils this year, but I found these volunteers more appealing than my purposeful plantings so I thought I would share them. If the background seems a little dark it is because I tend to have time to take photographs just as the flowers open at daybreak.

Alana, thank you for posting. Your mg's volunteers blooms are beautiful!

(Zone 7a)

Alana - on #3 - love the planetary way large, pale nils reflect early morning light while the rest of the world is still dark :)

And Dany - yoohoo - are you noticing that #2 has a ray-flow pattern?

Just beautiful, Alana, methinks re-charging waning interest in morning glories is working both ways :)

will catch up later this evening,

Thank you very much for your kind words. I'd like to take some credit but they have pretty much taken care of themselves from start to finish.
