Finally had a purple no Mai this morning. I marked the bloom with masking tape, hope my pod doesn't abort
if it senses the tape. Not a pretty bloom, but it is purple.
Pic # 2 is the Pink bloom from a day or so ago for comparison
Morning Glories 2012 # 05
that is so cool. I love the no Mais, the purple is really neat.
Oh thats pretty.
I think mine was tagged Akatsuki no Mai from Ronnie or A.
Lovely blooms everyone!
well that one is pretty!
rain? it went all around us , we are still bone dry in the triple digits.
Thanks Helena and Linda.
Gorgeous purple Helena.
Debra, same thing happened to us. All the rain happened in town, skipping us
Finally when all chances of rain had passed, we got a little downpour. Hopefully you will too.
We're running our sprinklers and will for a while.
Heres a nice Purple Blizzard open today
Thanks everyone.
Pretty color and blooms Jackie. I've been going through my seeds and decided to soak and start some. I think they still have time to bloom.
Well, I know Louisiana got a bit of rain too. Took a ride with my daughter there. Hope rain comes your way Jackie and Debra.
Oh that Asago is so gorgeous.
I too have tarted more seeds.. i had such good luck with vines inside last winter, I am putting them in pots so I can bring them in and enjo the late blooms. Gee now my shibouri and jamie lynn have dissapeared, no seeds tagged dangit.
Thanks Helena and Debra.I potted up most of my vines that were still in tiny pots. The really hot temps are on their way back so wanted to get all the potting up done. Will be all I can do to keep everything watered.
You two have more energy than I do to start more sds. :-)
How do you ladies over winter morning glories? Do you have something they climb on inside? Do you keep them pinched back?
Linda, Debra has a neat set up she'll have to tell you about.
I have a florecent light that I can move close to my seeds. I cannot keep mine inside for too long b/c I didn't have enough moisture inside. I lost a bunch that I was growing inside last winter. But I also have a gh and had them growing in there with growing lights and heat lamps for most of the winter. They weren't too happy on the coldest days but recovered. I grew them in pots with a bamboo stick for them to climb. I don't know about this winter though. I don't really want to bring the ones I have outside to the gh. I 'll have a lot of tropical plants to keep in there. It was nice to see mg blooms in winterthough.
Glad you got your mg's potted up Jackie. I have a few to do too and I just made myself more work too.
Beautiful blooms Jackie. I think Tempest has blizzard and maybe stripes as the blooms age. Are you going to tag your 7 bars Youjiro?
Helena, I didn't tag it but I think I will run out there right now since you reminded me, :-)
Maybe Tempest is just getting some blizzard going like you said.
Wow, what a beautiful difference in the blooms!
Thanks Linda.
Helena, I tagged 2 freshest spent blooms. I think it did make 2 blooms with the extra bars yesterday. If
I get another with 7 bars. I'll make sure I get
it tagged so no guessing later.
that is awsome, jackie. Mine is blooming now ( from you) but will get a pic later. It didn't have seven bars. that is outta this world!
Thanks Debra, it does look outta this world. Thats the weirdest bloom its thrown.
I;'ll be watching pretty close from now on. :-)
pretty! you guys have good eye candy this am..
Beautiful blooms Jackie. I love your Asago bloom from today.
It's possible that last pic of my bloom is an youjiro. Lots of my mgs are without names.
Wow, love that 3 way cross! They are all beauties!
Beautiful blooms Jackie. The leaves on your mg's look healthy too, I like that. I don't care for grasshoppers either, had one eating my new yellow lily right after it opened.
We are getting a bit of rain here now.
Thanks Helena. I've got spider mites after my glory's.
I gave them some systemic today.
