Dany's MGs 2012 # 1

szarvas, Hungary

Better late than never!
I do not know but this year I'm later than last year!

Here Q0269 from the National Collection of Japan, is a beautiful cultivar ... the last picture you can see that one of its ancestor is a red picotee.
Hellena you have the Q0538 which is the same but with a revers tube .

Me too Helena !

And the discovery this morning ..... something I had never seen!
No faking, no temperature problem because all the flowers of this plant (25) have a normal color.
This is a purpurea cultivar that is dark purple and making occasional small light blue spots ... it is on this feature that I was working ......And then bam!

Have you ever seen this??

Wow, neat! No I haven't seen this on purpureas! You do have an awesome collection of them. All beautiful.

Emma thanks for sharing !
This year I planted 850 seedling morning glory ... can be 600 different cultivars. In this picture there was an error! I gave a grid to a 枝垂れ Sidare in phonetics or droop plant .
These cultivars have the gene WE (weeping)... they have lost their geotropism, they can not climb the lattice is therefore useless to them.

There are so many volunteer and they are strong and healthy . Some are Hattie Bell others looks like Star of India or Hatsu Arashi. Some have variegated leaves there are even mutants ... all volonteers.
If I lived in a climate with early spring like Texas or Florida I would plant my seeds directly in the garden! .... to avoid the stress of planting.

I had no idea, there were morning glories that could not climb! I learn something new every time I visit the morning glory threads!

szarvas, Hungary

ALERT!! Emma , there is someone that uses your pictures to sell morning glory seeds in Japan .... lol .... lol!

Black King .... always there to help me with its pollen for crosses.

Thank you for the Alert, Dany -

I will check it out, however, I have sold LOTS of seeds to Japan this year to different people

Emma

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

Dany,
this person did purchase a lot of my MG seeds - and he has many others from me listed as well
http://openuser.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/user/ryouseihapu

Also, this person is also using my photos for Plum Delight, but put her watermark on them.
In fact, I did a trade with her a few years ago
http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m97282074

Too much fun to see so many of my MG seeds being sold in Japan

Thanks again Dany

Dany, Your mg is the one that grows in water I think. I can't remember the name right now.
The name might come to me or it might not. :-)
Beth grew this one yrs ago if this is indeed the one that grows and thrives in water

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Dany, found Beths post of Ip aquatica and I'm not sure if yours is the same.
Your lvs appear to be narrower than aquatica.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Emma, your Pink and Blue MG in post ending #988 is stunning.

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you Jackie,
I've never seen one with these colors before that has this pattern

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Its really special Emma.

Dany, heres the link for Beths MG aquatica

Edited to remove my link, it didn't work

A very good selection of purpurea Shibori.

Imagine .... the fine summer rain ... in these forms of flower! ... we can dream!

Beautiful flowers Dany. Is there any chance that your Shibori's are actually yellow? If so,
I will start my begging right now. :-)
