A friend was saying that a Bristle Cone Pine lives the longest. I thought it may be Cycads but not sure. Anybody know what tree lives the longest?
What tree lives the longest Cycad or Bristle Cone Pine
Some of those pines are over 1000 years old some say... an individual cycad is unlikely to live that long, but as pieces break off, or suckers replace the older plant, the entire life could possibly get that long... not sure if it is all considered a single plant, though.
On the Great Basin National Park web cite it says there are Bristle Cones growing today that were alive when the Egyptians were building the Pyramids. WOW!
