I would just like to announce that I will be hosting a Round Up at my place on July 8, which should be right about peak bloom for the daylilies this year, as everything is blooming so much earlier than normal. Need ideas for nice safe area to stay in
The Pilgrim Sands Motel in Plymouth is really nice, and right on the water. I know the owners, and provide supports for one of their family members. Here's a link to their website: http://www.pilgrimsands.com/ . They have an indoor and outdoor pool, nice rooms, their own beach and big deck that overlooks the ocean. Next door is Bert's Landing, where you will get a 10% discount when you show them your room key. Another nice place to eat is Sandy's on the beach.

There's lots of other places in Plymouth, but I don't know their rates. I thought about Hampton Inn, but then looked at their rates, and they were considerably more money.

I always have stuff to trade. The dahlias & grapes are gone for this year but there are Tiger lilies, a pink Asclipias with the candy fragrance from 3 years ago and way cool deep blue pompom columbine seed. I wish I would have visited Daves more often, lots of stuff got last ditch planting last week.

Food? We are between strawberry & blackberry season. There will not be anything fresh from the garden ready & you don't want me to cook, really. I don't even cook for myself any more. I hope to swap a few plants, see a few DGers & tour your garden again, that's all. If you recall, I never even sat down last time. Just a shadow passing through.
I 've lost touch with DGers because I don't post any more. Someone in General Chat paid for this years subscription or I wouldn't be here at all. I'm too wrapped up with personal issues to play on the internet like I used to. The bypass surgery 25 months ago changed my life big time. I was forced to retire so now I play while I still can. Rode the bike 11 miles today & I feel great.

Okay, Andy, that's fine. Funny you should mention that someone paid for a subscription for you, as that happened to me 2 years in a row. Back in 2010 I was hurting for money, so some unknown DGer paid for me. This year, after I had already paid, someone paid for another year for me. So now I'm paid up for the next year and a half.

Oh, I would love to have you come for my sale, Patti! It's going to be from 9-2, but if you come after 2, I can give you more individual attention. If you come during the sale, I could be busy, as I never know how many customers are going to show up, and I would love to be able to show you around the gardens and answer any questions you might have.

My life just got muddled so I can't come on either day. Sorry to miss seeing you and your garden. I had hoped to get to boojum's open garden this weekend too, but that is also not going to happen either as i am not going up to Vt until after seeing doctors in Boston on Monday. So sick of living my life around doctors appointments, but better than not having a life! Hope you sale goes well. Patti
Oh, how disappointing, Patti. I happen to off work for another week. Not going back to work till July 16, so if you can make down anytime this week, or on another weekend, just let me know, and I can arrange to be sure I'm around. I will be spending a lot of time in the gardens regardless.

Looks like only 3 people will be attending my RU. I don't think my friend Karen will be coming, as she can't handle the heat. Oh, well, we'll still have a good time. I will be making baked beans and hot dogs and macaroni salad. I'll have plenty of daylilies for trading, and other perennials as well.
