here's a couple pics of new pecan trees that we have growing, we've pulled some bag worms off the trees and found some holes drilled into the small branches and they seem to consume the branches and kill that off. I need to get a handle on this quick before i loose my two trees. What is it and what can i do about it.

The damage appears to be the work of some type of insect borer.
yes, I figured it out, and am in the process of ridding myself of the pest. thanks.
