I think I've ID'd this beauty - 'Tasmanian Tangerine'

Lea, the pic you posted of purple noid, I think is Wabash, a heirloom iris. Correct me if I am wrong. Height about 12 to 15"?

Max

Leawood, KS(Zone 5b)

That's good to hear, Max! I've never known the name - this iris was in a bag of rhizomes handed to me by a guest at dinner in the fall of 2009. He had just cleared out his parents' garden and knew I like iris, so he brought me samples. Of course, nothing was marked and he had no idea of color or name. I assumed they were all heirloom, NoIDs. I just measured - the bloom is 22" tall.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

This is in a big clump next to the AC. Left by former owners.

'Wabash' is an old TB not as short as she gives.

Loysville, PA(Zone 6a)

Nickysiris, your yellow iris posted along with astrobubbles sure looks like Skyhooks to me. I don't know how to do the link thing but, Skyhooks is in plant files if you want to check it out. Nonetheless, it is beautiful....whatever it is.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Leawood, I think that copper one is 'Tanzanian Tangerine' . Mine is bloomng now too.

Leawood, KS(Zone 5b)

Yes! I remember now - you sent it to me! Thank you so much. It's beautiful.

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

Depends one where it is planted and soil it is in. I have it planted in two different places, different soils and it can range in the size I stated and the size of a TB.

I think you are right about the Sky Hooks. I also have Honey Scoop that is close in color, but has scoops. Happy Monday BIF's!! We are having a wet Monday. I should be out pulling weeds, but it is drizzling. I'm hoping it drys up a little bit this afternoon. KISSES FROM KANSAS!

My other early iris had budded when we had 3 nights of frost. I found the dead buds dried up. Really sad.
