great color
Lea, the pic you posted of purple noid, I think is Wabash, a heirloom iris. Correct me if I am wrong. Height about 12 to 15"?
Max
That's good to hear, Max! I've never known the name - this iris was in a bag of rhizomes handed to me by a guest at dinner in the fall of 2009. He had just cleared out his parents' garden and knew I like iris, so he brought me samples. Of course, nothing was marked and he had no idea of color or name. I assumed they were all heirloom, NoIDs. I just measured - the bloom is 22" tall.
'Wabash' is an old TB not as short as she gives.
Nickysiris, your yellow iris posted along with astrobubbles sure looks like Skyhooks to me. I don't know how to do the link thing but, Skyhooks is in plant files if you want to check it out. Nonetheless, it is beautiful....whatever it is.
Leawood, I think that copper one is 'Tanzanian Tangerine' . Mine is bloomng now too.
Yes! I remember now - you sent it to me! Thank you so much. It's beautiful.
Depends one where it is planted and soil it is in. I have it planted in two different places, different soils and it can range in the size I stated and the size of a TB.
Maxine
