The master gardeners advised me how to treat my pieris for an infestation last year (don't have the pest name at the moment). I had to spray and prune and now the shrubs are quite short. What's there look's healthy. Will they recover their natural height?
Will pieris recover after a pest infestation?
Delta, I have found my pieris to to survive and recover from injuries that necessitated cutting off or pruning branches or parts of established bushes. Two years ago one was crushed by falling overhead limb. It is almost back to pre injury size. Hope you have corrected any cultural conditions that may have contributed to insect infestation last year.
