Think Spring! Have/Want Lists for Feb 11 Seed Swap

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Although it's not necessary for participation, some folks find it helpful to list the seeds they have available for the swap as well as what they're looking for.

Please post only once on this thread, and then edit your post as needed. It's harder to find the lists if there are lots of other posts on this thread, so please post seed requests, questions, and other discussion on the seed swap discussion thread:

Happy Seed Sorting!

My spot! (much more to come...)

HAVE to share:

(12) Basil, Italian Genovese (original seeds were from Italy, my favorite for cooking & pesto!)
(12) Basil, "Hot & Spicy" (like an intense & peppery Thai basil)
(10) Basil, 'Blue Spice' (sweet scent, delicate flavor, lovely violet-blue blooms)
(5) Tomato, 'San Marzano' (insanely productive little "fingerling" paste type)

(3) Berlandiera lyrata
(3) False Japanese Aster 'Shogun' (hybrid, probably won't come true to name)
(3) Sedum chaff with seed, collected from 8-10" tall hot pink blooms, no idea what you'll get
(2) Torenia, mixed (cheerful flowers that I think of as being like pansies for shade)
(2) Torenia, blue/white mix (should have both dark blue and blue/white flowering plants

If you're looking for particular varieties or types of tomatoes or peppers (very hot or mild peppers, colors/shapes of tomatoes), post about what you're looking for in the seed discussion thread, and I'll take a run at my stash for you. Same for anything else you're looking for -- if I think I have it, I'll check, and I'll add it to your goodie bag. I may also go through and split off little packs of extras from the seeds in my tomato and pepper binders, but that depends on how much time I have to play with seeds before the swap.

I have some perennials to pot up for our plant swap in May - planning early for a change this time :-). I am looking for.plastic pots between 3" and 8". I thought I had loads of them, but couldn't find any to save my life when I was trying to pot things up last Nov. Does anybody have spare plastic pots to spare? Thanks.

Looking forward to seeing you all.

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

I do! Will bring you some! Will you be at the Seed Swap?
Or--did you mean when you go to the Plant swap?

I am always taking home pots from work when they throw plants out.

I do not have 3" pots--but plenty of 3.8" pots. Also 5" and 6". Plain or a bit deco.
How many do you need?

Damascus, MD(Zone 7a)

Gita, Thank you for the offer. Dave has also offered pots. I think there will be more than enough pots for me with these 2 generous offers :-).

The pot sizes were just my estimate -- anything will do. You know the type that we use to pot up baby plants or to pot them further up before planting. I will come to the seed swap this Saturday. If you can carry some to me this time, great! Otherwise, I will come over to pick them up sometime in the next sevearl weeks. Thanks again! See ya.

Crozet, VA

So cool about the being able to upload up to five pictures.

Ruby
