What are these bugs on my dill and fennel plants?

I just found these all over my butterfly garden plants and have no idea what they are. Any ideas? Thank you!!! I hope they are not "bad" bugs. They don't look like caterpillars, so I'm a little concerned.

They are the nymphs of one of the Stink Bugs (family Pentatomidae). The true bugs don't have caterpillar stages, but look quite like wingless adults through a sequence of nymphal stages.

Thank you! On my way to go look them up and see if they're harmless or what.

OK I've been searching and reading and I can't find this EXACT pattern on any bug's back in a picture anywhere. Weird.
Also, everyone seems to say these are milkweed bugs. I do have milkweed (for the monarch butterflies) but these things are on my dill and fennel and not on my milkweed plants. It just seems odd that I can't find this exact bug, with a picture matching this bug's pattern anywhere. Hmm.
