Need help from anyone experienced with large conifers, cedars in particular. I have a lot of cedar blow-down debris (not limbs, or anything that drastic) covering my rather poor lawn. I disposed of some of it, but there's plenty more where that came from. I wondered if I could rake it under my three large trees in order to discourage the dreadful weeds of early spring. Or would the tree roots be choked? They are shallow, but other than that, I'm not certain of their requirements.
Lawn debris versus tree health
