This tomato season was probably one of the worst seasons I have had in years. Yesterday afternoon started to dispose of the tomato plants that are not bearing any fruit. I was astonished that the root systems were really shallow and not as filled out as the years in the past (even the late blight year included). I usually have to tug and tug to uproot the plant, not this year. Has anyone in zone 6 or anywhere near by noticed the same thing?
