Will Cypress windbreak work in West Central FL?

I'm looking to create a privacy/windbreak around my home and need some suggestions. 12-15' high max. otherwise I'd use Leyland Cypress. What else would be fast growing? I'm looking at Thuja Orientalis 'Blue Cone'. any other ideas? Thanks
