... I'd thought I'd post this towering ginger here (possibly Heliconia), as I see there are people in this forum who are familiar with the family. If anyone could identify this for me, I'd appreciuate it. No flowers, but I think I see spikes of seeds (?).

it is indeed a Heliconia but there are many dozens of varieties and species, and most look similar. Without flowers, I have no idea how to tell them apart
