Cute, thanks for sharing. One year John showed me a couple of plants growing in our front bed which highly resembled "weed." He said it was a fake marijuana that was most likely from some of the bird seed from a feeder that is directly above the garden on the deck. At a certain point in growth, about three foot high, John pulled it and destroyed it with the thoughts of better to be safe than sorry in mind.

The past couple of weeks our local news has been full of pot busts in some surrounding counties. One of the fields was estimated at having a street value of 21 million.....now that is a lot of green stuff.

Didn't there used to be hemp seed in Canary food and that's why they sang so sweetly?

Many years ago a friend's 17 year old son was arrested for hitch hiking in Virginia. While waiting for his parents to come from Maryland to pick him up he asked the officers to water a little seedling he had planned to share with friends at his destination. One officer obliged and asked what kind of plant it was, "possession" was added to the charges. Since the tiny plant was the only evidence of this offence, the officers quizzed the young man on the care and feeding of same. By the time of the trial/hearing, the evidence had become a 7 foot tall very full buddy bush! (Luckily, the possession charges were dropped and the hitch hiking fine was minimal and promptly paid.)
