lillies to bloom May thru October

Dover, PA

Where is the best place to order lilies so I have them blooming May to October in zone 6. I like Brent and Becky's but they are pricey.

I'm no expert, but I don't think lily bloom season for your zone would last anywhere near that long. Maybe June-July. Perhaps someone with more expertise will chime in. Good Luck!

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Here in zone 5b, I have lilies blooming from the end of May through July. That's as long as it goes around here, as long as it doesn't get too hot too early.

Well, mine go late July through August? lol, See. Just get what we each have and you will get summer long blooms. NOT. Just joking.

Elgin, IL(Zone 5a)

For later bloom you can look into speciosum; Uchida is my particular favorite even though I have to acidify the soil. I have a formosanum/longiflorum cross that I have grown that blooms into September. I grew it from NALS seed (germinate in January, bloom in September). I did this because, like you, I wanted to extend the lily season.

"Orienpet Lilies, a cross of fragrant Oriental Lilies and Trumpet Lilies, bloom from mid July to late August." I just found this at the North Star Lily Society website. They are in MN which is just north of Iowa.

Looks like all my orienpets bloomed in very late August, and one the first part of September. but they were new last year so may go earlier this year as they are more established.
