When deadheading the spent flowers is it good, bad or does it even matter if you snap off the seed pod with it? I was thinking that doing this would put the plants energy into the bulb. Is this correct?
Dead heading lilies
As far as I know it directs energy to any remaining flower production, and if no more flowers, starts builing larger bulbs.
I always snap them off. If you're not interested in seeds then there is no need to let it do so.
Thanks, I was hoping to hear that!
