Datura pictures 2011

I'm off to a pretty good start for the 2011 growing season. I'll try to post regular updates as my Daturas bloom.

My first bloom of the year was a Golden Queen

I was very pleased with the vivid the yellow bloom.

This is a product of last years seeds, the parent was a double purple.

Datura unforgettable, this one is different from the parent plant with yellow on the edges instead of green.

Thank you to Danasplants for leading me here. All along I thought I had Black Angel Trumpets. I have Black Current Daturas.
All seeds have sprouted. All cuttings have taken. So easy to grow! :) Encouraging for a new gardener.

A freebie plant I got last fall and overwintered in the house. The blooms varied and some were not as well shaped as this one. This is my first summer growing any of these.

Pic. taken this morning. The only one I've this year. It appeared the more often I give this plant a weak/soluble fertilizer. The larger, more numerous flowers it yields.

Lily_love, your Datura has an amazing amount of blooms for its size. Cool location for it too, very scenic.
