When did you put down your milky spore? If this was the first year you used it and you put it down too late it wouldn't have any effect this year, but should help control next year's beetles. I've seen some people post that you really need to apply it consistently for a couple of years before you really see results though.
Ridding Jap. Beetles
Well, ecrane, I have read both: put it down and wait three years for effect and, put it down several times. I put it down in August last year. But, I have to admit, it was before a rain, but we didn't get all that much rain after we put it down. I think we need to try again this year. Last year was the first year we put it on the lawn and gardens.
I have read one should put it down three times in a season: August, I would guess for this area.
