cutting back foliage

Kansas City, MO

can foliage be cut back at all after flowering?

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

It should be left so that the bulb can build nutrients for the following year. Generally, you don't want to remove more than 1/3 of the stem when cutting. I frequently cut the tops off, just below where the first bloom was.
