Can someone tell me what are the shrubs in Maryland along route 270 near Old Georgetown and Rock Spring Drive? They're so pretty and they seemed to appear overnight.
Identify shrubs
Can you get a pic of them?
Not familiar with the stretch. I saw some white shrubs along 70 today I think are Spirea Van Houtte often called Bridal Wreath.
I don't drive that way very often, but somehow I remember seeing purple leaf sand cherry shrubs there several years back when I drove by while they were blooming -- it was a bank of burgundy leaves with light pink flowers. However, I could be wrong because it has been a while. Or you and I could be talking about 2 different parts of the road :-).
Good luck with identifying the shrub.
The purple shrubs are still there.
I think I found it. Viburnum plicatum 'Shasta'.
Thanks for the suggestions.
