palm identification

cayenne, French Guyana

I had assumed that this palm is a Pinanga and I'd like to know which species ?
The stipe is 5 cm wide and 4 m high. The drupes are red with an elliptic shape.

There's a lot of Pinanga species, I only have the one and that's P. kuhlii. Have a look at this web site, you might find something there to help you identify it:

I'd have a look at Ptychosperma as well. It does look a bit like that genus to me.

Look at the new picture : my palm, as a whole, can't be mistaken with a Ptychosperma

I agree, that full photo of them doesn't look like Ptychosperma. And the leaflets come to a fine point. Have you found any likely ones amongst the Pinanga?

I know a someone who has " Henderson : Palms of Southern Asia".
I'll ask him to duplicate identification key of this genus and try
to use it.

malagasy palm, at a friend's palms collection.
